About
About Me
Hi! I’m Jiale Liu, a senior undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science. My academic interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, graph neural networks (GNNs), and large language models (LLMs). I am passionate about exploring innovative ways to enhance model interpretability and applying these technologies to solve real-world challenges.
Academic Background
- Degree: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
- Institution: Huazhong Agricultural University
- Research Interests:
- Graph Neural Networks and their interpretability
- Integrating large language models with graph-based tasks
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and large language models for knowledge-intensive tasks
- Research Advisor: I’ve been fortunate to conduct research under the guidance of Prof. Zeyu Zhang. During my time in his lab, I discovered my passion for research and refined my academic interests. It was a truly rewarding and inspiring experience. I also had a wonderful time working with Prof. Suhang Wang as a remote research intern for six months. This experience allowed me to further broaden my perspective, explore the intersection of privacy risks and graph retrieval-augmented generation (GraphRAG), and gain valuable insights into conducting impactful research in collaboration with an excellent team.
Projects
I have worked on various exciting projects during my journey. Here are a few highlights:
- Content-Based Image Retrieval System: Built a full-stack CBIR system with hybrid feature extraction (classic CV + deep learning) and FAISS for efficient large-scale image similarity search.
- Intelligent Knowledge Graph Construction System: Designed a large-scale academic KG with automated entity/relation extraction, multi-database backend, and interactive visualization for intelligent search.
- House Price Prediction (Kaggle Competition): Engineered extensive feature sets and developed a stacked ensemble model, achieving top 0.25% (14/5881) in the competition.
Beyond Academics
When I’m not immersed in research or coding, you’ll find me:
- Exploring new technologies and open-source projects.
- Writing blogs to document my learning journey.
- Watching movies and Japanese anime.
- Traveling to different places and embracing new cultures. I’ve had the privilege of visiting Xinjiang, Tibet, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, and many other unforgettable destinations.
Feel free to reach out if you’d like to collaborate or discuss any of the topics mentioned above. You can find me on GitHub or Email.
